Building a PC is simple. All you need to do is pick out the right parts and plug them into the right slots. Post this, you only need to install your OS and other software’s. Taking this forward, you will need some specific components for your VR PC. We have listed the bare minimum components below that can build you a powerful enough VR machine.
Processor – $180
3.2GHz Intel Core i5-6500 quad-core: Maximum efficiency within budget
Motherboard – $77
Gigabyte GA-H170M (MicroATX LGA1151): Although slightly expensive than Gigabyte’s H110, it is well suited for our needs
Memory – $32
HyperX Fury Black (2 x 4GB DDR4-2133): RAM’s are cheaper, but more RAM gives your PC more flexibility, we went with the most cost efficient option
Graphics – $200
AMD Radeon RX 480: For the heart and soul of a VR PC, we made an obvious choice
SSD – $55
Corsair Force LE (240 GB): Although 120GB is cheaper, doubling the size means double the games!
PSU – $30
EVGA 430W: We stuck with a reputable brand that is also efficient. It has a 80+ certification. A good supply is always a good investment
Case – $25
Fractal Design Core 1000: Again, more of a personal choice (but do choose something appealing)
